Who we are
Strideora is the controller for personal data described here.
To be confirmed before publication. Do not invent a region, a retention period, or a deletion process.
Step and health data
On iPhone, Strideora reads daily step counts from Apple Health (HealthKit). On Android, it reads them from Health Connect. Access is read-only, and only after you grant permission. You can revoke it in iOS Settings, Health, or in Health Connect.
What other people see
Your daily goal and step numbers are private. Group members only see whether someone hit their own goal, which feeds the group score, plus the cheers and comments they choose to post.
Where data is stored
To be confirmed before publication. Do not invent a region, a retention period, or a deletion process.
Advertising
Health data is not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with data brokers. It is only used to provide the app.
Other information
We also hold account details, group membership, invite codes, feed posts and reactions, and notification tokens. Messages sent through Help Scout Beacon include your name, email, message, page URL, and browser details. Help Scout is the processor for those messages. Beacon loads only after you click Contact or the beagle button, and it may then use its own storage. Analytics, when enabled, is cookieless unless Google Analytics is chosen, in which case it stays off until you accept.
Children
To be confirmed before publication. Do not invent a region, a retention period, or a deletion process.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access, correction, or deletion. Email hello@strideora.app. The controller’s legal name and address are still to be confirmed.
